Career Choice provides Amazonians with education and skills-training opportunities to advance their careers. I lead the team managing all of our programming in the Americas. This includes secondary (i.e. high school/GED) and postsecondary (i.e. associate’s, bachelors) degrees, as well as curated upskilling programs leading to in-demand roles. We manage hiring partnerships with employers (i.e. businesses that hire our graduates) both internal and external to Amazon, as well as 500+ education providers, to help Amazonians advance their careers through education.

From 2021-2024, I built and led the Career Choice Pathways team, which managed educational programs focused on in-demand roles in transportation, healthcare, mechanical & industrial systems, administrative & business services, and technology across all 14 countries where Career Choice operates.

In 2021, the scope of my role expanded to include end-to-end strategic and operational management of all curated and customized training programs in North America and the schools engaged to serve them, co-leading education strategy for Career Choice, serving on the Career Choice leadership team, and leading a team of program managers and specialists.

In 2020, I managed our educational partner network in North America. As part of this work, I built quality assurance mechanisms and worked with schools to develop strategic interventions to help students complete their studies and successfully transition to new careers.

Led the quality assurance function by assessing and advising skills-training schools and programs focused on tech and digital skills (i.e., coding bootcamps), analyzing factors such as completion rates, placement rates, average starting salaries, repayment rates and loan performance, student reviews, regulatory compliance, and financial and operational viability. Served on the Senior Management Team. Acquired by Goal Solutions.

Led strategy development and planning, operationalized hiring solutions, and developed partnerships with iconic companies and non-profit partners dedicated to skills-based hiring practices.

Provided daily counsel to Under Secretary Ted Mitchell regarding the full range of the Obama Administration’s priorities in higher education; supervised the policy, communications, and operations staff working in the Office of the Under Secretary; worked closely with senior management staff throughout ED; met weekly with the Secretary of Education on higher education priorities; liaised with the White House Domestic Policy Council, the National Economic Council, and the Office of Management and Budget, as well as senior staff of other agencies including DOJ, Treasury, VA, and DoD.

Led the Experimental Sites Initiatives, building and launching the Educational Quality through Innovative Partnerships (EQUIP) experiment, the Dual Enrollment experiment, Second Chance Pell, and expanding the Competency-Based Education experiments.

Led teams of consultants advising clients in PK-12, higher education, and economic development. Client base primarily consisted of CEOs and Executive Teams of foundations, social sector organizations, and school operators.

Co-launched and managed the operations of a new teacher-training institute serving 650 new teachers per year with a 130 person staff. Earned the highest operational satisfaction results in Teach For America's history.

While in college, was selected as a summer analyst. Position extended into the academic year.
