I’m a Senior Scientist at Wave Life Sciences with over a decade of experience in RNA medicine discovery and development. My work spans ADAR-mediated RNA editing, siRNA, and antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) platforms, with a focus on advancing novel RNA-based approaches to treat genetic diseases.As a research lead for Wave’s RNA editing programs, I am at the forefront of cross-functional efforts that combine molecular biology, oligonucleotide chemistry, and computational design to translate innovative RNA science into therapeutic reality. I’m deeply motivated by the challenge of developing precise, durable, and safe RNA medicines that can make a meaningful difference for patients.

Discovery Biology - Bioanalytical & Assay Development Led all PK analysis of oligonucleotides via a custom hybridization ELISA assay; managed one direct report and served as the primary scientific interface for all discovery and development project teams. Designed and optimized custom hybridization probes and successfully transferred the assay to 3 external CROs (Alliance Pharma, Nova Bio Assays, MoGene) and to Wave's internal development team — directly enabling biodistribution studies across the CNS and liver pipeline. Built Wave's in-house NGS capabilities from scratch: AmpliconSEQ, Targeted Sequencing, Total RNA-Seq, FFPE-based RNAseq, and Oxford Nanopore RNA sequencing — creating a platform that served the entire Discovery organization. Trained scientists and standardized workflows on 3 Agilent Bravo liquid handlers; automated Cell culture, qPCR, ELISA, bDNA, and library prep workflows that were subsequently adopted by Wave's entire CNS development team. Developed custom stem-loop qRT-PCR for high-sensitivity oligonucleotide detection, optimizing chemical backbone characterization for stereopure compound programs.
