Youssef K. HAMIDI

Youssef K. HAMIDI is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering. He graduated from the Ecole Mohammadia d’Ingénieurs with a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering. He later received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, USA. Before pursuing his PhD, Youssef had a hands-on, solid and diversified industrial experience as a Design Engineer, a Quality Engineer, a Manufacturing Engineer, a Project Manager and an Operations Manager in both private and public sectors. Youssef teaches with passion different Engineering courses such as Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Materials Science and Solid Mechanics. He also teaches industry-oriented, Engineering Management courses such as Operations Management, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management and Innovation Management with the same enthusiasm. His research interests are as varied as his teaching interests, besides processing and characterizing composite materials, he has conducted several innovative investigations in a wide range of related areas including nanoclay dispersion and effects in polymers and composites, moisture absorption behavior and effects in composites, permeability and flow-front positions during injection molding, as well as fiber sizing effects on wetting and adhesion. Thus, Youssef authored a number of journal articles and book chapters and presented research results at international conferences.
