Buro Happold is a professional services firm that provides engineering consultancy, design, planning, project management, and consulting services for buildings, infrastructure, and the environment. The Associate Project Operations Manager is responsible for a portfolio of large and muti-disciplinary projects acting as a business partner to the project leadership, by collaborating closely with various disciplines involved and specialisms (Finance, operations, projects, legal…etc.) to ensure the delivery of projects on time and within budget, in respect to the governance and internal controls process and procedures

As Senior Project Operational and Financial Controller, Yousef looks after a portfolio of large and multi-disciplinary projects, acting as a business partner to the project leadership, and collaborating closely with various disciplines involved and specialisms (Finance, operations, projects, legal…etc.) to ensure the delivery of projects on time and within budget, in respect to the governance and internal controls process and procedures, and within the company project management and quality standards.

Yousef was appointed as Acting Cost Manager to work alongside three other managers to oversee all Cost and Commercial activities for the delivery of the Resort Core with a value in excess of SAR 3 billion. This involved overseeing the maintenance and creation of control accounts and budgets for all activities in the Resort Core district, work completion and payment certificates, variation and change requests, and monthly financial reporting.

In this role Yousef was responsible for post-award Commercial Management of all PMO contracts with a combined value in excess of SAR 200 million, and the administration of the Qiddiya Delivery Partner contracts. While also handling administrative ad-hoc projects and assignments requiring coordination and management of internal and external stakeholders.

JASARA is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco, Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Jacobs to be the premier Program Management Company for social infrastructure delivery in Saudi Arabia and the region. During his time with JASARA, Yousef worked with projects in several positions to establish the operational framework for functioning departments along with associated policies and procedures. During his time with Jasara, he gained experience working in Commercial Management, Procurement, Project Management and Project Controls.

JKS is a highly reputable international school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with state‐of-the‐ art facilities and highly trained staff. As Library Manager, Yousef was responsible to procure and sign off on materials and equipment to be used by the students. He also trained all grades (+600 Students) in how to conduct academic research and referencing. He was also a project supervisor overseeing student graduation projects for two years.

The Bsc. in Business Administration and Finance focuses on graduating students who can understand and operate in an environment which is governed by the complexities of relations among various financial institutions.
