Founded and operated a start-up company that started with managing take-out orders and delivering food and drinks prepared by local restaurants in Rochester region to customers. Established strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action. Accomplished financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Analyzed Spatial Frequency Response (SFR) and Lateral Chromatic Aberration (LCA) from simple slanted-edge images, in order to compare resolution and sharpness of different cameras. Optimized the image testing process of cell phone camera module by using polarizers. Forged a fellowship with University of Rochester as the first year’s Sunny Fellow Student. Directed a project developing electricity-controlled transition lenses and partnered with UC, Berkeley.

Assisted lab sessions of circuits and micro-controllers course, set up breadboard, multi-meters, signal generators, oscilloscopes and 741 operational amplifiers.

Responsible for the company’s market development and product demonstration. Attended workshops and tradeshows in North America. Led the promotion of the company’s newest products—the Benewake Long-distance IR LiDAR TF20 and TF01 for plant protection drones. Conducted research about fundamental principles of Time of Flight (ToF) chips, development and applications of Ranging LiDAR and analyzed some competitors’ products. Rotated among different departments as a field applications engineer and received the Monthly Best Intern Credential. Managed the preparation, shooting, and post edition of a promotional video for the 9th APEC Small & Medium Enterprises Technology Conference and Fair (SEMTC) in Shenzhen, China.

Disclosed methods, structures, devices, operations for implementing opto-mechanical ultrasonic sensor by using opto-mechanical structure.

Assisted lab sessions of optical introduction course, set up pinhole camera in lab room, organize Optics tutors in the Physics and Optics Library and teach students to use MATLAB and Mathematica.
