Yisroel Brumer

I worked my way up from entry level analyst to reporting directly to the Secretary of Defense, then co-founded two AI companies (one in precision medicine and one in defense) and an investment/incubation firm, all of which scaled quickly and of which I am incredibly proud. I seem to be indelibly drawn to the hardest, most important problems, from preventing PTSD to curing cancer to missile defense, and I have had some great successes (along with a few spectacular failures). I've done a bunch of interesting things including sitting in the Nuclear Weapons Council and the Missile Defense Executive Board and the DMAG and chairing the 3-Star Programmers and won a bunch of medals and awards. Along the way I’ve spent a lot of time studying leadership and the art of influence, so that is often the focus of my reflections. Also, I did my Ph.D. in quantum physics, so I engage on that a lot. And I love my kids. Love, love, love my kids.
