VP, Head of Oncology @ Ensoma

About

As a biotech scientist, my career has been driven by a simple motivation: turning science into therapies that truly help patients. Over the years, I’ve advanced high-value discovery programs from early concepts through IND and early clinical transition, while building teams and strategies that connect rigorous immunology and oncology research with real-world development goals. During my career, I’ve originated and led more than ten discovery programs in immunology and oncology therapeutic areas, advancing five to development candidate and driving three INDs. With experience in both biotech and large pharma, I’m known for combining deep scientific rigor with disciplined execution, prioritizing the right programs, allocating resources thoughtfully, and delivering results with urgency. A core strength of mine is building and developing high-performing teams. I’ve established and led multidisciplinary R&D organizations, fostering cultures grounded in scientific rigor, data-driven decision-making, accountability, and collaboration. I’m especially energized by mentoring talent and helping scientists grow into impactful leaders while driving efficient, milestone-focused execution. Scientifically, I bring broad modality expertise spanning antibody-based therapeutics, immune cell engagers, CAR-T and CAR-NK platforms, mRNA/LNP systems, and viral delivery technologies. My training as an immunologist, combined with deep translational and IND-enabling experience, allows me to connect mechanism, biomarkers, and clinical strategy early to accelerate development paths and de-risk programs. I remain deeply passionate about innovation and new technologies and energized by continuous learning. I approach challenges with creativity, resilience, and optimism, and value open-minded debate in pursuit of the best answers. Ultimately, my goal is simple: to translate breakthrough science into therapies that meaningfully improve outcomes for patients. Outside of work, I’m a devoted father and avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys biking, hiking, and exploring national parks.
