About

As a Senior Scientist I at AbbVie with a PhD in Population Biology and an MS in Statistics, I specialize in oncology bioinformatics, leveraging expertise in multimodal biological data integration, real world evidence (RWE) generation and scientific communication to drive biomarker discovery and translational insights. My work focuses on antigen-directed therapeutic modalities such as ADCs and T-cell engagers (TCEs) with a data-driven approach to advancing oncology drug development. With over 2.5 years in the pharmaceutical industry and over 7 years of academic research and teaching experience, I contribute to the identification of biomarkers, real-world evidence analyses, and the integration of multimodal clinico-genomic data to enable impactful drug discovery. My mission is to extract actionable insights from complex biological data to support the development of innovative cancer therapies, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

PhD Dissertation (Kopp Lab): The origin of sexual dimorphism – from a perspective of fruit fly pheromones ⠂ Invented low-cost experimental method on insect pheromone extraction, increasing the scalability of phenotypic sampling by 10-fold while maintaining high reliability (90% average quantification accuracy calibrated by traditional methods). ⠂ Initiated and established the first D. prolongata (~200Mb genome size) genomic research panel (~200G sequencing data across 42 populations) and comparative transcriptomic research panel (~80G data), enabling large-scale hypotheses generation. ⠂ Performed variant analysis and genome-wide association analysis (GWAS) on quantitative traits using ~14M markers (SNPs and short indels). Discovered ~50 candidate genes by statistical inference and biological interpretation. ⠂ Conducted differential gene expression and GO enrichment analysis on tissue-specific RNA-seq data. Revealed 1 potential root cause (among ~50 DEG candidate genes) explaining trait divergence. Designed follow-up experiments for hypothesis validation. ⠂ Conceived and translated project ideas into award-winning ($2K) research proposal. Collaborated with interdisciplinary professionals worldwide. Presented investigation results at select conferences. Published paper in highly regarded journal.
