I'm currently a research software engineer at Stanford Center for Research in Foundation Models (CRFM), where I am the lead maintainer of the open-source Holistic Evaluation of Language Models (HELM) project. Our work provides a framework for benchmarking foundation models that helps researchers, developers and users better understand of the capabilities, limitations and risks of these models. I have over a decade of professional experience in software engineering, including full-stack web development, cloud infrastructure, machine learning infrastructure, and distributed data processing. I previously worked at Coursera, where I was a founding engineer, and at Google, where I worked on TensorFlow.
