Pathway to Bath is a programme to help Year 12 students from widening participation backgrounds gain insight into their subject at university level. This helps them be better prepared for the degree as well as improving their applications to universities. As an E-mentor I provide hints, mark and provide feedback on Bi-weekly assignments as well as being their first point of call for any issues they may have with the programme or its organisation.

This role includes answering questions from students typically from widening participation backgrounds and independently running stands at careers fairs. I also travel to schools across England and Wales, in areas of low progression into HE to raise aspirations and present a university degree as an attainable goal for under-represented students, and call university of bath undergraduate mathematics offer holders to answer any questions from a current students perspective. Recently I have also spoken on a student panel at the UCAS Annual Teacher and Advisors conference answering questions about mental health and the transition to university asked by Natasha Devon. I made an impact by speaking about my own experiences as a young adult carer applying to university and speaking about the widening participation programs at the university of Bath

- Tutored children aged 5-11 in Maths and English, supporting their applications into Grammar Schools - Developed the ability to structure logical explanations and express thoughts clearly

Paid role supporting the family business whilst mum was shielding due to the pandemic - Set up a stock tracking system via the EPOS till, which supported the reduction of potential theft - Created a spreadsheet of all store stock, allowing online orders ia Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Devo - Ensured rules around alcohol and cigarette sales were diligently met - Built strong relationships with customers of the store

Completed a year-long placement in the International Area Management team, reporting to the International CAO • Led data tracking and analysis for the International BCBS 239 programme, partnering with a colleague in the International Chief Data Office to enhance risk management processes across 22 legal entities - implemented new processes, optimizing project performance • Data analysis and report writing for senior leaders – simply and concisely communicating large data sets • Analysed Internal Audit data to track progress of audits in International, issuing reminders for issues and actions coming due when necessary • Coordination of and planning for key strategic collaboration forums that contributed to the governance and delivery of regional and international priorities • Ensured policies were well-circulated across International legal entities, businesses, and locations • Led the organisation of a 4-day Skills Development Event for 72 young people aged 16-18, encouraged further representation from charity nominees • Active member of EBRGs - HEART (disability / mental health / caring), Women in Engineering, IMPACT (ethnic minorities)

Awarded the Master's Bursary Dissertation: Using Machine Learning to enhance Monte Carlo Methods for Option Pricing Key Modules & Technical Skills: - Programming: Python, R, and SQL for data handling, data pipelines, numerical computing, data visualisation, algorithm design, and scalable data processing. - Financial Mathematics: Derivative pricing (Black–Scholes, Binomial), stochastic calculus, Monte Carlo simulation, Value-at-Risk (VaR), Expected Shortfall, copula models, and portfolio optimisation. - Statistics & Machine Learning: Regression analysis, Bayesian inference, statistical estimation, time-series modelling, and supervised & unsupervised learning for predictive analytics.
