Yaron Shapiro

Yaron is the co-founder of Alefbet Holdings and its operating businesses, including SSDA, iContact, and SA Business School. He began his entrepreneurial journey in 2004 from a small basement office with the launch of SSDA. What started with four employees has since grown into Alefbet Holdings, a global business services group employing more than 2,500 people, with operations headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa Alefbet operates across collections, BPO, customer experience, skills development, and business administration, delivering scalable, resilient solutions to blue-chip clients locally and internationally. Yaron holds a BCom in Industrial Psychology from RAU (2003). His leadership approach is grounded in first principles: - disciplined execution, - long-term thinking, - and building organisations that outlast their founders. A defining focus of Alefbet is impact through employment. The majority of the group’s workforce comes from previously disadvantaged communities, with a strong emphasis on youth development and career progression.
