Leadership and Project Management • Designed proposals, protocols, and statistical analysis plans across healthcare economics projects, including chart review studies, patient surveys, claims data analyses, trial data analyses, registry data analyses, and indirect treatment comparisons in disease areas of oncology, immunology, neurology, and hematology. • Directed day-to-day case management across a variety of HEOR cases, led workstreams with team members across different offices. • Coordinated with cross functional teams including internal and external stakeholders, and vendors to collect and analyze real-world data to understand patient characteristics, natural history of disease, treatment patterns, clinical outcomes, patient-reported health-related quality of life outcomes, healthcare resource utilization, and healthcare costs in the US, EU, and Asian countries. • Took active part in mentoring and providing on-the-job training to newer colleagues.

Projects Overview • Designed multiple global chart review studies (including panel-based and center-based) to collect real-world treatment patterns and clinical outcomes; results demonstrated unmet needs in the current treatment landscape. • Designed patient preference studies in the US and EU countries using discrete choice experiment (DCE) approach; performed conjoint analyses to quantify patient preference and willingness to trade off among features of treatment; results helped client prepare for impending product launch. • Designed prospective patient surveys to collect patient-reported outcomes (PROs) from patients who are enrolled in the sponsor’s patient support program (PSP), worked closely with the sponsor’s Steering Committee and cross-functional teams to align on the study design, patient recruitment, and data collection process. • Designed and performed in-depth analyses using large claims data including Medicare, MarketScan, Optum Clinformatics, and PharMetrics Plus database to assess disease epidemiology, disease and economic burden; results filled the knowledge gap in various disease areas and were disseminated in respected medical journals. • Conducted clinical trial data analyses to assess treatment efficacy profile, safety profile, and pharmacokinetics; findings presented to various medical conferences. • Led teams of analysts in searching, reviewing, extracting trial data publications, and conducting network meta-analyses (NMAs). The findings were used to support the market authorization application for pharmaceutical products in the EU, UK, Australia, and Nordic countries. • Developed AMCP dossiers by compiling substantial published and unpublished clinical and economic evidence to demonstrate the value proposition and support favorable coverage and reimbursement of client’s pharmaceutical product. • Developed a budget impact model to support the reimbursement of a pipeline pharmaceutical product in the US.

Research Projects: • Conducted analyses to evaluate the readmissions due to total hip arthroplasty and total knee arthroplasty, acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, pneumonia, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the State of California, Florida, and Massachusetts using HCUP (Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project) database. Published findings in Medicine. • Studied the association between BMI and total direct healthcare costs in Chinese population aged 45 and older using CHARLS (China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study) longitudinal database. Published findings in Journal of Diabetes and its Complications.

Worked on Early Hearing Loss Detection and Intervention (EHDI) program to assess the risk factors of late hearing loss intervention and loss to follow-up. Published findings in Journal of Early Hearing Detection and Intervention.

Organized and coordinated CES (The Chinese Economists Society) events and conferences; drafted conference agenda and program book, worked closely with CES president Dr. Lizheng Shi and hosting universities to prepare for the 2015 annual conference.
