• Led team to generate key biology data package with novel MOA and achieved project milestones, which transformed a target validation program to Oncology TA-wide high-priority discovery program • Provided biomarker and patient selection strategies for discovery programs through integrative Omics data analysis in preclinical pharmacology models and clinical samples • Guided development of new translational genomics platforms

• Recognized by management team through Janssen Innovation Leadership Award for significant contribution to clinical biomarker strategies for Daratumumab development in lupus • Identified pharmacodynamic biomarker for Daratumumab using patient samples resulting in key decision criteria for dose selection in Phase 1 study, actively participated in the writing of IB and biomarker section of clinical protocol, led biomarker assay validation in CRO, and analyzed clinical biomarker data • Delivered translational package for large and small molecule therapeutics supporting new molecule entity transition (PD1 agonist and others) • Analyzed longitudinal patient samples in collaboration with bioinformatics team and identified potential biomarkers for patient stratification which facilitated therapeutics-specific clinical trial design • Provided critical data for external assets in due diligence, which led to key go/no-go decision • Led novel MOA analysis of therapeutic compounds using patient tissue samples through KOL collaboration and facilitated lead compound selection, toxicity study and clinical trial design • Supervised 2 research associates and one external postdoc in immune assay development for different programs, leading to 5 peer-reviewed research articles, 1 patent and 3 conference abstracts

• Led collaboration between different functional areas for molecular mechanism understanding of RORgT small molecule antagonist leading to novel findings of lead compounds and one high-profile publication

I conducted deep T cell biology research in cancer immunology and infection leading to 10 publications • Identified a novel role of retinoic acid signaling in control of anti-tumor T cell immunity • Dissected the distinct functions of RARa, RARb and RARg in anti-infection T cell immunity • Mentored 3 rotation students in Immunology Ph.D. program
