-Litigated section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982 within the context of the Crown’s failure to consult with and accommodate Indigenous nations -Negotiated with opposing counsel on settlement of a significant oil spill -Volunteered with OKT’s pro bono initiatives, including coaching the Toronto Metropolitan University Law School team for the Kawaskimhon Moot and mentoring Trent University students on treaty negotiation

-Prosecuted criminal offences by preparing for trial, speaking in Provincial Court, and negotiating resolutions with defence counsel -Guided a diverse range of witnesses through the criminal justice process by exercising cultural humility and empathy -Closed knowledge gaps within staff members by organizing visits to parallel organizations, such as the probations office, courthouse, and RCMP detachment

-Assisted the Legal Counsellor in maintaining Canada’s presence at the International Criminal Court (ICC) and advanced Canada’s feminist foreign policy; attended and reported on ICC meetings (between one to five times weekly); represented Canada at events held at the ICC, Peace Palace, and diplomatic missions, and reported on these gatherings -Supported the Political Officer by organizing a visit by the President and Vice-President of the Public Service Commission of Canada (PPSC) to the Netherlands; informed the delegates of relevant logistical and substantive details; accompanied the representatives to meetings at two academic institutions and a government delegated agency; authored a report on the visit that was provided to the PPSC -Planned and executed the annual Commonwealth Remembrance ceremony attended by all the Commonwealth ambassadors in The Hague, military officials, and the Dutch public

-Provided legal advocacy services to clients in the areas of child protection, family law, criminal law, human rights law, employment law, and administrative law -Submitted applications in the British Columbia Supreme Court under the Divorce Act and the Survivorship and Presumption of Death Act -Designed and delivered public legal education presentations in the areas of Indigenous child protection, the Indian Act, Aboriginal harvesting rights, and First Nations taxation
