Xuefeng Zhu

Xuefeng studied chemistry at Nankai University (Tianjing, China) and Fribourg University (Fribourg, Switzerland), finishing with a doctorate in organic chemistry under the guidance of Professor Albert Gossauer. After postdoctoral studies with Professor A. Ian Scott at Texas A&M University (College Station, Texas) and Professor Ohyun Kwon at UCLA, he started his career in pharmaceutical industry in 2004, first at Isis Pharmaceuticals and then at Acuity Pharmaceuticals as a senior scientist and project manager. From 2006 to 2019, he worked at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation (GNF) (San Diego, California) (aka NIBR San Diego) as a medicinal chemist. From 2019 to 2022, he was the Head of Medicinal Chemistry at Kura Oncology. Currently, he serves as the Head of Medicinal Chemistry at Alterome Therapeutics.
