Working as a Senior Scientist to develop and validate methods for the detection of ADA/ADC in support of pre-clinical and clinical drug development studies. • Developed and validated 10+ fit-for-purpose assays including ELISA, ECL using SpectraMax and MSD. • Responsible for various types of sample analysis, including animal and human serum/plasma to support new large molecule drug pre-clinical and clinical studies. • Keep the record of experiment details, collect and analyze experimental data based on SOP and GLP regulations using hardcopy notebooks and databases. • Write method protocol/report and address clients’ and QC/QAs’ comments. • Communicate with clients, project management and business development teams to meet project timelines and clients’ goals.

Working as a Research Assistant under Professor Wei Niu. • Design and perform day-to-day lab experiments. Read literatures and communicate with mentor for trouble-shooting. Coordinate and collaborate with the Research Facilities from the campus, including Mass Spectrometry, Flow Cytometry, and Protein Crystallization. • Analyze data, and draft manuscript for publication. Present results of research projects through oral and poster presentations during regional and national meeting. • Engineered a tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase for the genetic encoding of sulfotyrosine to study Protein Tyrosine O-Sulfation in mammalian cells. This project requires techniques including library construction and screening in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, protein crystallization, flow cytometry, cell line development in HEK293T cells (CXCR4-knockout using CRISPR-Cas9), and functional GPCR assays (calcium mobilization assay). • Engineered a tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase for the genetic encoding of a phosphotyrosine analog to study Protein Tyrosine Phosphorylation. This project requires techniques including Western Blot, ELISA, Electrophoretic mobilization shift assay (EMSA), Immunofluorescence Imaging (IF), qPCR, and cell line development in HEK293T cells (STAT1 integration using PiggyBac method).

Working as a Research Assistant under Professor Quanfeng Liang after receiving Bachelor's degree. Designed an autoinduced AND gate that responds to both microbial communities and the cell physiological state. A series of tunable Quorum sensing (QS) systems in response to different cell densities were obtained through random mutagenesis of LuxR and optimization of the luxRI promoter. The application of the final synthetic device was demonstrated using the polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) production system.
