Development of Water-Soluble Laundry Bags Focused on creating biodegradable films from Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) and Starch blends. 1. Material Compounding : Developed specialized biodegradable formulations by blending PVA and Starch using Twin-Screw Extrusion, optimizing the mixture for maximum solubility and strength. 2. Film Manufacturing : Operated Blown Film Extrusion to produce uniform water-soluble films, controlling processing parameters to achieve the desired thickness and quality. 3. Solubility & Performance Testing : - Water Solubility Test: Conducted rigorous testing to measure dissolution rates and temperatures, ensuring the film meets the requirements for laundry bag applications. - Physical Properties : Evaluated mechanical strength and barrier performance using UTM, MFI, and WVTR. 4. Advanced Characterization : Utilized FTIR, DSC, TGA, SEM, and XRD to analyze the chemical structure, thermal stability, and morphology of the polymer blends. 5. R&D Data Analysis : Recorded and analyzed experimental data to improve material recipes, contributing to the development of sustainable packaging solutions.
