Will do in future ------------- Begin of a very old and outdated description: Robotics & Mechanisms Laboratory at UCLA is a facility for graduate and undergraduate robotics research and education with an emphasis on studying humanoid robots and novel mobile robot locomotion strategies. Our research interests are in the area of Robot Locomotion & Manipulation, Soft Actuators, Platform Design, Kinematics and Mechanisms, and Autonomous Systems. RoMeLa is also active in research based international robotics competitions winning numerous top prizes including the 'DARPA Urban Challenge' (3rd place, $500,000 prize), the international autonomous robot soccer competition 'RoboCup' (First Place in both the Kid-Size and Adult-Size Humanoid divisions, World Champions three times in a row, and brought the prestigious 'Louis Vuitton Cup Best Humanoid Award' to the United States for the very first time) and most recently being one of the six Track A teams chosen to participate in the disaster response robot competition 'DARPA Robotics Challenge' for the $2M top prize.

Google Inc. is an American multinational technology company specializing in Internet-related services and products. These include online advertising technologies, search, cloud computing, and software. My position was in Platform team and as a mechanical engineer in Robotics, my project was one of their new idea of making the GDC(Google Data Center) a whole intelligent unit and being able to maintenance it self. My project was a pioneer project, cracking the hardest and the most interesting and creative part of the whole idea.

Intelligent Machines and Robotics Laboratory (IMR) was established in the 1980s. In the early days, her research field included high-speed photography and phase transformation mechanism of Shape Memory Alloys, the micro robot system. Over the decade years, she focused on the research including obstacle crossing robot, robot for deep space exploration, multi-agent systems, bionic robot fish, amphibious robot, quadruped robot, intelligent variable body aircraft, etc. Members of the faculty are composed of 1 professor, 3 associate professors, 1 lecturer and 3 guest professors. Now the main research directions include multi-functional materials and smart structures, new drive technology and motion control, intelligent machinery and biomimetic robot system, autonomous mobile vehicles and multi-agent system, biomedical imaging technology and multi-modal cell micro-operating system.
