Duties include providing support to the Methodist user community via consultation, training, instruction, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving for hardware, software, network, related computer systems, and peripheral devices, including the installation, configuration, and deployment of laptops, workstations, printers, and scanners, and to ensure the operation of all systems. Assistance provided to the server team with server patches on a as needed basis. Duties also include applying business/technical support concepts to analyze application problems to resolve complex issues, managing small and large projects, gathering, analyzing, reviewing, and participating in ticket assignments for technical support, which includes working with both technical and nontechnical personnel and independent vendors on customized applications and projects. Provide evening and weekend on-call support for technical issues.

Responsibilities included maintenance and repair of all campus hardware and software related problems. This included troubleshooting software problems, upgrading software and operating systems, all hardware, and maintenance of the network (Novell).
