With over three decades of dedication to neuroscience and oncolytic virotherapy, my work at UBC had been focused on gene therapy for neurological diseases and cancer. I founded Virogin Biotech Ltd in 2015 in Canada and worked as Chief Scientific Officer. Virogin amplifies our mission to transform cancer treatment. My expertise lies in viral vectors and CNS/cancer gene therapy, aligning with our company's commitment to innovative solutions. At Virogin, we value diverse perspectives and I bring a wealth of experience to foster a culture of excellence and discovery. As the Chief Scientific Officer for the past 9.5 years, I have been pivotal in advancing our research in oncolytic virotherapy. My role encompasses leveraging life sciences, cell culture techniques, and scientific knowledge to develop ground-breaking therapies. Our team's efforts are focused on translating complex research into real-world applications that promise a new dawn for cancer patients. So far, Virogin has 3 oncolytic viruses in clinical trials.
