At Parkeet I am leveraging my acquired skills to build highly efficient, small and low-cost sensors to monitor the occupancy of parking spaces. An easy-to-use cloud-based platform aggregates the data from the sensors and makes it easily available to get a real-time overview of the current status of your parking(s) or to perform analysis on historical data. Integrations with your own or third party systems are possible to enrich your applications with up-to-date parking information, to get most out of your parking. Throughout the years I have built up a strong expertise building battery-powered, wearable smart healthtech products from concept all the way to mass production, and regulatory clearing in multiple regions. In my capacity as hardware and firmware advisor, I am able to assist our customers in designing compliant medical hardware products following FDA regulations to ensure a smooth development process and efficient regulatory pathway

At WeeGee, I am building my dream to have a positive impact on as many people's lives as possible and improving efficiency of our everyday lives. As Hardware Team Leader I am leading a small team of engineers designing and developing the NightOwl hardware products. My main expertise is in electronic design, but being involved in the design and development process since the start of the NightOwl products, I am acting as a systems engineer and subject matter expert wearing multiple hats, including RA, QA and manufacturing. As Hardware Lead at Ectosense I was responsible for overseeing everything that has to do with our physical NightOwl products. My team and I keep production running, ensure the quality remains high and work on bringing new innovation in the context of sleep related disorder diagnostics to people's homes. - Leading a small team of engineers working on exciting product development: ° Responsible for electronic design and development ° Overseeing firmware and mechanical design ° Managing the product roadmap together with customer-facing teams - Scaling up production, from New Product Introduction to 100,000+ units produced per year, within a year - Maintaining contact with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure a smooth production process and stay on top of new innovations - Expanding experience with medical device standards and regulatory processes: ° Owner of parts of ISO13485:2016 certified and Cfr 820 compliant QMS related to product realization (design and development, purchasing and production) ° Subject Matter Expert in ISO13485 audits ° IEC 60601 and ISO 14791 ° ISO 10993 ° CE and FDA 510(k) - Assisting the data science team by setting up neural network pipelines using Tensorflow framework

As Electronic System Design Manager I was working on the full electronic product development cycle for products across different industries, but with a strong focus on Medical products. - Worked on products for consumer, industrial and medical markets - Worked on feasibility studies, design phase, prototyping, design transfer - Selected components, designed schematics and PCBs - Managed projects to make sure they stay on track both in terms of budget and timeline - Managed supplier contacts to ensure good prices and timely deliveries of components - Built up experience working with BLE radios and optimizing PCB for RF performance - Built up strong experience working on minimizing product size, designing very compact and high-density PCBs - Worked in the scope of an ISO13485 approved Quality Management System - Designed products according to medical standards, like IEC 60601 and ISO14791
