Warren Kirshenbaum founded Cherrytree Group, LLC in 2011 and has spent the past fourteen years building a highly specialized tax credit consultation, brokerage, and syndication firm into a vertically integrated owner and operator of commercial solar facilities. He has utilized his expertise to build a company that focuses on the structural and development finance aspects of tax incentivized transactions, particularly in renewable energy and environmental remediation (Brownfields). Background and Experience Warren Kirshenbaum has experience in business and real estate. He entered the tax credit field over 20 years ago, at first working in the sub-specialty of affordable housing. His skills and portfolio soon expanded to include tax credit acquisition for renewable energy, brownfields remediation, and historic preservation. Since forming Cherrytree, he has presented at dozens of industry conferences nationwide. Worked on corporate governance & compliance issues, structuring of real estate partnerships, corporate reorganization, workouts, asset purchases, private placements, management and filing of intellectual property, litigation support, commercial real estate transactions, land-use issues, worked with developers on local government and other political lobbying and negotiation, tax credit compliance, contract drafting and review, compliance with affordability restrictions and IRS regulations, business advice & planning.
