Developed our technology, product, data, and user experience teams for MadeiraMadeira, Brazil's largest Home Goods platform. Created a product mindset culture while bringing modern, headless JAMStack approaches and best practices to engineering teams with hands-on coaching and contributing to the core codebases. Increased all key metrics, Lighthouse/Page Score, doubled SEO traffic, and improved overall conversion rates and bounce rates through Headless Architecture and Engineering best practices.

Build and lead the technology teams that power eCommerce for the Ferguson portfolio of brands. The group included Build.com, Supply.com, and SignatureHardware.com. I managed the business strategy, technical platform, and integrations between businesses—scaled a cross-functional technology team of over 250+ people, who managed 1.2B/year in eCommerce revenue.

Oversee all aspects of software development and infrastructure for all Build.com 12+ properties. This includes quality assurance, system administration, help desk support, database administration, and UX functions. Lead our strategy to rethink and re-engineer our architecture. Using modern web technologies and software approaches we created a highly nimble environment for engineering teams to deliver value regularly. Handling millions of page views daily, thousands of orders, awhile being able to make change rapidly is something our whole team prides itself on. I've been highly involved in setting our recruiting strategy needed to build our talented teams which is now over 80+ strong in Chico, CA.

Oversee all software development activities from inception to deployment. From eCommerce platforms to backend supporting ERP systems. Managed an highly agile environment with many powerful project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Bamboo. Implemented change control procedures meeting PCI compliance while maintaining an highly agile process. Built team from 8 developers to 30+ members including support, documentation, and project management.

Lead engineering efforts for all development teams to create a highly scalability, and shared codebase to support numerous highly successful eCommerce sites. Recruited and coached new software engineers on many facets of application and development processes Coordinated and administrated numerous trainings for new staff Oversaw hundreds of other projects including payment integrations, SEO tools, marketplace integrations, checkout redesigns, and many other site improvements.

Architected, and developed key eCommerce and ERP applications utilizing Coldfusion, Memcached, Solr, MSSQL, among other technologies. Defined, and built our shared platform for the eCommerce front-end. Removing the need for separately managed codebases, allowing us to scale while releasing more features quicker. Implemented core marketing tracking systems of which included Omniture SiteCatalyst, Omniture Recommendations and Test and Target for A/B testing among numerous other third-party tracking systems. Developed cross-docking (WMS, Warehouse Management System) allowing us to run a roughly 30,000 SQ FT warehouse with one-click printing abilities by leveraging Connectship API toolkit.

Started, and grew both VentingDirect.com, and Ventingpipe.com into well known eCommerce sites. Handled everything from customer service (phones), to data management, and programming. Was acquired and rolled up within Improvement Direct in the middle of 2005.

PC repair, debugging, and building. Developed eCommerce site using PHP and MySQL for local sales (order and pickup) and shippable orders. Included Frontend site, and POC system for store sales, and management of orders. Developed fully functional web-base POS (Point of Sale) system full with tendering, reporting, and serial support. Migrated two locations from Quickbooks to online POS for all transactions.
