As a strategic HR Leader, I have extensive experience in Aviation Management, Strategic HR Management, Operations Management, Learning and Development, Change Management, Performance Management, Organisational Design & Development, and Talent Management within the private sector. To shortly introduce myself, I started my career with Kenya Airways and held various positions before becoming the HR Learning and Development Manager. Currently, I am the Group Human Resource Director at Wells Fargo, where I have developed and maintained a keen professional interest in knowledge management, quality assurance, staff resources, and performance management with a specific bias in HR development, reward management, and talent management. Additionally, I serve as a Consultant Faculty Member of the IATA Training Development Institute in Geneva, Switzerland, and Montreal, Canada, as well as a Human Resource Consultant at Tradewinds Aviation Services in Kenya. My proficiency in data analysis and reporting on HR metrics has informed decision-making, assessed trends, and increased HR strategies and practices. I have successfully implemented HR Management Information Systems that streamline HR processes and reduce administrative burdens to gain competitive advantage. As an IATA-certified and ICAO-approved trainer, I have served as a member of two IATA Technical Committees – the IATA Cargo Procedures Conference Management Group (CPCMG) and IATA Cargo Business Processes Panel (CBPP). I have a history of promoting positive employee relations and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements through interaction with stakeholders, including unions, staff committees, regulatory bodies, and industry associations. My experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies has enabled me to identify potential HR risks and make necessary adjustments in compliance with business targets. With wide global exposure and experience gained through training in Germany, Canada, the USA, Switzerland, The UK, Singapore, Italy, Netherlands, among other countries, I have also delivered various training courses to different airlines and Ground Handling Companies in many parts of the world.
