* Responsible for the strategy setting and day-to-day management of the firm. * Successfully closed in 2009 China’s first RMB-denominated PERE fund, over-subscribed by institutional investors and HNWI. * Built up and leading a team to source, underwrite and asset-manage a portfolio of residential and mix-use developments across China. * Extensive dialogues with overseas fund management houses and placement agents regarding co-sponsoring and raising real estate funds to invest in China, UK, and US. * Collaboration with developers, placement agents, and financial institutions in deal sourcing, fund raising and product development.

* Responsible for establishing and developing relationship with Chinese institutional clients in order to secure clients’ overseas mandates * Leading business development initiatives with the prospect of pooling Chinese money into a domestic property fund/trust.

* Worked with Research & Strategy, Pooled Funds and Capital Markets/Alternative Assets to gained solid understanding of commercial real estate investment and fund & multi-portfolio management. Responsibilities include: * Key Performance Indicator report for all UK portfolios (£6bn incl. pooled funds, separate accounts, and funds of funds), applying techniques incl. benchmarking and attribution analysis; * Product development of an infrastructure fund and ‘alternative property’ funds. * Assisted the CEO and CIO with two global projects of ING REIM. Responsibilities include: * System design and data analysis of performance measurement of ING REIM’s global portfolio (working with external consultants as well as regional teams); * Setup and/or re-organization of global platforms for the major property sectors, seeking synergy between regional businesses and cross-sector best practices.

* Responsible for ING Real Estate’s overall China strategy, business development, investment, asset management and local partner/government relationship. * Responsible for running the Shanghai office and later on the China management WFOE. * Established a strategic partnership with Shanghai Forte Land * Built up the concept and secured the seed portfolio of ING China Opportunity Fund (COF). * Worked closely with team and agents to source residential and commercial property investment opportunities for ING and its clients.

* Assisted CEO and Director of Marketing to develop the marketing plan and merchandise mix for Super Brand Mall in Shanghai. * Pre-marketed the mall to retailers both domestically and in North America. * Signed up Lotus Supercenter (20,000 sqm). * Assisted marketing Koll’s real estate services to potential local partners as well as international clients.

* Worked with Chief Representative and the team to establish retail joint ventures in China on behalf of the Thai conglomerate. Projects include: * Lotus Supercenter (originally a Wal-Mart & CP joint venture) * 7-Eleven China Franchise with Shanghai JinJiang Group * Shanghai Friendship CP Co., Ltd. with Shanghai Friendship Group * Jointly responsible for feasibility study, JV negotiation, license application, and lease negotiation. * Seconded to Shanghai Friendship CP Co., Ltd as its corp0rate planning manager.

* Responsible for overseeing a team of 20 professionals in real estate investment deal sourcing, underwriting, fund formation, fund raising, and asset management. * Responsible for the management of c. RMB20bn real estate funds and direct investments in residential/mix-use developments across China and commercial assets in 1st tier cities. * Responsible for outbound investment initiatives focusing on direct investment in US and UK gateway cities as well as in open-ended funds and REITs. * Portfolio includes both opportunistic and value-add strategies.
