As Undersecretary General (IT) I was responsible for overseeing all the technical needs of Scotland's largest MUN conference. I maintained and updated the society's website and social media accounts and overhauled the society’s internal communications and storage network for the conference and for general organisational purposes. In addition, I worked alongside other committee members to ensure that the annual ScotMUN conference that attracts over 320 delegates runs successfully, taking on such roles as working with the Secretary-General to set up online registration and working alongside the Treasurer to ensure closely defined budgets for IT issues were kept to.

* Social Secretary for Edinburgh Model United Nations Society, overseeing the social aspect of a society with over 120 members in 2014/15. My responsibilities included: * Undertaking research into possible locations for weekly drinks and carrying out negotiations with interested bars to achieve the best possible deal for members * Planning, organising, negotiating and executing alternative social events for members, including trips to the Scottish Parliament and to Edinburgh Castle * Ensuring that all members feel welcomed and part of the society that they have signed up to, including creating strategies for incorporation of new members * Organising irregular, special events, such as a anniversary celebration of the society at a top Edinburgh hotel for 50 guests, * Undertaking significant planning and operation of social events for fundraising, including research and negotiations into a Winter Ball for over 100 people and organisation of a "PotLuck" evening

* Assistant-Secretary General for Socials at ScotMUN 2016, the largest and most prestigious Scotland Model UN Conference. My responsibilities include: * Undertaking extensive research into destinations for both a dinner/dance event and a club night * Undertaking negotiations with venues and achieving maximum possible value within limited budget * Planning both events, ensuring that both locations are fully equipped and prepared to deal with evenings activities, including operating long-term open communication channels to guarantee effective problem management * Being in charge of oversight for running both events, including being the main point of call for any problems that arise during the evenings * Following up delegates to gain extensive feedback into social events * Creating continued legacy with venues to ensure a long-term business relationship

I helped to build and run a website called Viva El Fulham, where a number of fans contribute both long-reads and shorter articles on a wide range of topics regarding Fulham. I was a regular contributor to a weekly podcast called Cottage Talk, a talk show about the club run by fellow fans. My achievements include: -Organising a wide range of writers to contribute to the website, and managing them through an editorial role - Setting up and building, from scratch, a social media profile with over 3,000 followers - Gaining an average of over 3,000 hits per article on site - Undertaking significant research into well-received articles, such as being the first person to look deeper into a planning application for a new stand and report on it - Ensuring that Viva El Fulham is one of the most widely read Fulham websites on the internet

Edinburgh University Model United Nations Society was established in 2001 to not only raise awareness about the work of the United Nations, but also to promote awareness of global issues by simulating debates in the style of the UN. The society also sends competitive delegations to compete in MUN conferences, both national and international, and is the proud host of ScotMUN, Scotland's oldest and largest MUN conference.
