To be able to strive towards a circular economy and to be able to be prepared for future legislation and regulation, the work for my master thesis focused on investigating the readiness of Alfa Laval´s suppliers to declare Full Material Declaration (FMD) of chemical substances used in a Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger, one of the company’s best-selling products. A large proportion of the investigation consisted of working with international material standards.
