As a member of the Mechanical Engineering support team, acted as an intermediary between designers and suppliers to ensure new products are within manufacturing limits and perform to the highest of optical standards. -Performed formal and informal Root Cause Corrective Action analyses to solve systemic and one-off problems related to mechanical design and manufacturing processes. -Worked with suppliers to increase product quality and capability, ranging from engineering issues to administrative issues.

Led a multi-disciplinary team of approximately 30 student engineers to design, build, and race an open wheel race car to compete in Formula SAE engineering competitions. -Developed strategic relationships with existing and potential sponsors, which resulted in growth from five to 50 ongoing sponsors over six years. -In the Project Manager role, responsibilities included schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the team to ensure all deliverables were completed on time and with excellence. -In the Engineering Manager role, responsibilities included supervising all technical sub-teams in the areas of Mechanical, Electrical and Computer, Controls, and Systems Modelling and Simulation, as well as overseeing all technical aspects of the vehicle design. -Mentored team members in both technical and professional development to help ensure knowledge transfer, team sustainability and continued success year over year.

Capstone projects included designing, optimizing and testing of a carbon fibre impact attenuator (Mechanical), and the use of alternative cooling methods in CNC machining (Engineering and Management). -Developed competencies with machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, and various CNC machines through fabrication of several design project prototypes.
