Will Byington is a renowned Chicago-based photographer, videographer, and educator whose fervor for storytelling through imagery has taken him from the city's iconic skyline to the high seas, sports arenas, and concert stages worldwide. With over two decades behind the lens, Will has built a reputation for capturing what others might overlook—discovering the emotion, angles, and energy that transform a fleeting moment into something unforgettable. As a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, he immortalized the team, its fans, and the legendary Wrigley Field in his best-selling coffee table book, "We Are Cubs Fans," which celebrates the vibrant community and culture of Cubs enthusiasts around the globe. Will's career transcends sports, harmoniously merging his passions for photography, travel, music, and entertainment. Since 2007, he has been the official photographer for over 170 music festivals at sea with Sixthman, documenting intimate, once-in-a-lifetime performances by artists like KISS, Pitbull, Bon Jovi, John Mayer, Zac Brown Band, Sister Hazel, Barenaked Ladies, and hundreds more. Whether aboard a cruise ship or beneath the bright lights of a stadium, Will’s lens captures the essence of live entertainment in all its raw, electric beauty. Will's journey to photography was anything but conventional. Before pursuing photography full-time, he worked on-air in radio, engaged in film promotions in Los Angeles, and spent three years touring with New Orleans-based bands Cowboy Mouth and Better Than Ezra, handling marketing, merchandising, and promotions. These experiences honed his instinct for timing, storytelling, and connection—skills that continue to define his work today.
