Wilfried Breuer

Born, raised, and graduated in Aachen in electrical engineering, I have held various leading positions with international manufacturers and operators of power supply systems over the past 30 years, thereof ten years abroad. High-voltage and transmission technologies have always been the recurring themes through my professional path. In all this time, power grids and technologies have never changed as rapidly and fundamentally as today: the global demand for electricity is significantly increasing, while carbon emissions must be radically curbed. These trends go along with a comprehensive transformation of the grid infrastructure – and thanks to my experience on both the manufacturer and operator side, I know about the enormous technical and strategic demands entailed. I’m very proud to be able to actively shape this transition as a member of the management board at the Reinhausen Group since 2019, working with a highly competent, experienced, and motivated team of more than 3,600 employees worldwide. With intelligent, increasingly digital solutions we support manufacturers and operators in implementing sustainable and resilient energy systems. Our innovative strength coupled with well-proven technologies and more than 150 years of experience make us a uniquely strong and reliable partner for our customers.
