Proven leader with over 15 years of management expertise within the logistics industry. I’ve gained a unique perspective from the diverse roles in UPS that spanned various continents around the globe. I’ve been directly involved in developing and executing growth initiatives that create value for customers and the organization. My journey started at KPMG in San Juan, where I was a part of the team that started the International Executive Tax Services for the firm in Puerto Rico, serving customers from a wide range of industries. I then joined UPS in Miami to lead the Latin America Tax team. As Director of Finance in Mexico, I then led UPS’s expansion of 20 new operation centers country-wide to establish a stronger market presence. While in Asia, I successfully restructured UPS’s intra-Asia network that resulted in enhanced service across 29 trade lanes and stronger connectivity for customers in 41 markets; and oversaw the strategic expansion of the business in China, Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia. Those experiences laid the foundation for me to assume a leadership position for UPS’ business in Spain and Portugal; where we were able to expand transborder and express export services from key areas of the countries. At the same time, we were able to leverage our e-commerce solutions in the those markets which combined with the service improvements, helped our customers grow and were instrumental in UPS achieving unprecedented growth. Like many other Puerto Ricans, I am a baseball fan, but also enjoy catching the action whether it’s on a football pitch or basketball court.
