Jason Wert

As a Trip Leader I am responsible for the planning and follow through of a wide variety of outdoor activities. I was appointed to this position because of my Wilderness First Responder certification through Remote Medical International, and my love for the outdoors.

Solely responsible for the organization and follow-through of all the off-site trips that our camp offers. Organize not only my schedule, but also the schedules of all other directors and staff members on these trips to make sure they ran smoothly and safely.

One of three team members responsible for re-heating and serving food for patrons in the high-paced atmosphere of the Foggy Goggle. Gained invaluable cooking experience at the Foggy from the early morning prep work I did to gear up for the coming day and several days to follow.

Managed voter contact programs to assist current State Representative Pat Sullivan in a winning campaign for re-election in 2010. Assisted in a voter registration drive by signing up new voters at farmers markets, city fairs, and door to door contacts for Get Out The Vote efforts. Team Member, RMI, Port Au Prince Haiti, August 2010 Assisted in building permanent housing for those who were affected by the earthquake. Worked with locals in their community to help in a variety of tasks to better my understanding of third-world cultures. Volunteer, GLC Youth Group, La Gloria Mexico, July 2008, July 2009 Worked in a team environment to improve living standards at 3 orphanages through various means such as building additions to the house, painting, and interacting with the children.

Responsible for creating a welcoming environment by always conducting business in a professional atmosphere. Improved staff collaboration through mentoring, assisting, and providing feedback on duties and functions such as the handling of unruly patrons, resulting in an improved experience for the customer.
