Graduate Studies in Dr. Gen-Sheng Feng's Lab My graduate study is on mechanisms of liver cancer development using murine and in vitro models. Specifically looking at microenvironmental and cell-intrinsic modifications after genetic manipulation, in relation to tumor development. Manuscript title: Single Cell Transcriptomics Reveals Opposite Roles of Shp2 in Myc-driven Liver Tumor Cells and Microenvironment (Cell Reports) Specific key terms: Hepatocellular Carcinoma, cMyc, Shp2, B-catenin, macrophage polarization. Co-lab manager: Lab safety, IACUC mouse protocols, Controlled Substances, Lab Safety, properly documented lab resources and general management of existing lab processes and implementing additional procedures.

SRAII at Dr. Anil Bhushan's Lab at the UCSF Diabetes Center. Set up lab at UCSF by purchasing of necessary materials, wrote IACUC and BUA protocols, managed mouse transfer, Lab Managerial role: Take responsibility to manage daily operations of lab including lab safety, lab supplies and equipment, organization, and maintaining mouse colonies. Also perform consistent islet isolation procedure for all lab members, assist postdocs in projects.

SRA I at Dr. Anil Bhushan's Lab at UCLA. Lab Technician duties involved lab management, lab safety, chemical inventory. Lab's main mouse contact, and maintained a mouse colony of 400+ cages with 15+ strains. Other duties include tissue collection, pancreas and islets, and techniques such as RRBS.

Undergraduate Research Volunteer from July 2011 to June 2012 (Part time: 6-12 hr/wk). Paid Research Assistant from September 2012 to June 2014. Assist principle investigator in all research experiments. (Part time: 12-24 hrs/wk).

Undergraduate Intern for the Summer. Working in the Oncology Department at Amgen, South San Francisco site under Dr. Holger Wesche.

Graduate studies at UCSD, working in the Feng Lab. We use mouse models to study the intrinsic and extrinsic molecular mechanisms of liver cancer development and novel therapies.
