• Coordinate the implementation of FireSmart planning in Forest Management Plans by liaising with the Forest Planning Section and industry personnel. • Coordinate, integrate, and complete FireSmart planning for Forest Management Plans-Non-Timber Assessment portion. • Investigate and participate in full landbase disturbance initiatives which integrate timber harvest and other methods of disturbance (prescribed fire, mulching, etc.) • Assist in wildfire landscape planning and prescribed fire initiatives. • Support FireSmart program initiatives related to community planning, land management, prescribed fire, wildfire management planning, and other landscape initiatives. • Assist in the development of enhanced Values at Risk Layers and identification for both operational and planning purposes. • Complete field staff training initiatives – Values at Risk and Wildfire Threat Modelling. • Ensure scientific research, adaptive forest management and natural disturbance emulation is considered in decisions that affect the active and passive landbase.

oversee the administration of the entire Waterways Timber Program; including AOP review & approvals, Silvicultural Plans, Fire Control Agreements, Herbicide Programs, MOSA Salvage Plan Approvals, and Stakeholder Agreements; for the Local Timber Programs, Alpac, Millar Western, Northlands and Oilsands Development Projects. In conjunctions with these various programs, I am also the team lead for the Forest Operation Monitoring Program, involving all aspects of field inspection, data review and analysis, auditing, and administration of FOM & SAM. When issues arise out of these various programs, enforcement is administered upon my recommendation, and files are prepared for the CAO for further processing. I am also the acting Prevention Officer, administering various projects such as the WUI Program, FireSmart Program, PB Plans, Educational Events Planning, and Promotion. During the fire season, I had acted in the role of Deputy Duty Officer/Duty Officer during the districts’ peak fire occurrences, and supported the districts mandate/priorities as such. I promoted a team focused, results oriented, staff supported environment, leading to the implementation and administration of the many programs, by providing effective supervision, staff training & mentoring, and ongoing evaluation of performance. My goal, with further development, is to provide a viable & superior service through an adaptable leadership approach, and to improve & maintain the cooperative relationship between inter-governmental agencies, stakeholders, public & inter-departmental offices.

I have worked cooperatively with various clienteles with the purpose of planning, implementing, analyzing, and achieving set objectives and goals as it pertains to each study project. Clientele for these projects included various universities across western Canada, Alpac and its affiliates, research counsels, leading research experts in their respective fields, industries in seismic and forestry, and non-industry interest groups. These study projects ranged in diversity from broad mixwood management studies and its many aspects, land use impact studies, growth and yield field collection, silvicultural applications studies, and any study required by Alpac to complete.
