Wendell Erb

Wendell Erb is the President and CEO of The Erb Group of Companies, one of North America’s largest privately-owned refrigerated transportation providers. He has over 40 years of experience working at the company, following his father’s and founder’s footsteps. Wendell started as a cross-border driver and then became the company’s first International Dispatcher. He continued to progress to VP of Operations and in 1999, was promoted to General Manager as his father began to step back from the daily business. In June 2011, Wendell was appointed President and CEO. Under Wendell’s guidance, The Erb Group has enthusiastically developed modern best practices – bringing a fresh perspective to the ever-present goal of “profitability through superior service”. Today, the business that started with one truck has become one of the largest family-owned refrigerated trucking companies in North America, with a distribution network of ten terminals, over 1,500 employees and a fleet of more than 800 power units. Wendell is Chairman of the Board of The Erb Group of Companies, past Chairman of the Ontario Trucking Association, board member of the Canadian Trucking Alliance and the Truckload Carriers Association. Wendell also is a member of the Niagara University College of Business Administration Supply Chain Advisory Board. Married to wife Cheryl for 36 years; they have two children in the business, Kyle and Katie and three grandchildren. Wendell takes to the road on his Victory motorcycle in his spare time, enjoys golf, and farming.
