Based in Barcelona, I work in the Customer Risk Lifecycle domain, continuing to strengthen the bank’s foundations in KYC and AML. At this position, I focused in tech innovation and long-term strategies across domains. - Integrated supervised ML models with rule-based systems to parameterize, coordinate, and audit the disqualification of Anti-Money Laundering hits for low-risk customers by 27%. - Contributed to the event-driven, distributed architecture, long-term tech strategies, product development, and interviewing, collaborating and coordinating with various teams. - Built a text comparison engine using tools and metrics such as trigram search, Levenshtein distance, and Apache Lucene, driving the low-latency integration for real-time transaction checks. - Conducted in-depth technical investigations and data analysis of large datasets with effective communication and mastering observability telemetry, SQL, Python, and command-line techniques.

I joined the engineering team in Financial Crime Prevention, a core area ensuring trust and compliance through KYC and AML controls. - Integrated data from +25 sources for batch snapshots, replacing the department's most important technical debt based on heavy external SQL queries, leading the consistency analysis in AWS Athena. - Maintained and enhanced our core system for financial crime prevention, being known for continuous improvement initiatives such as refactoring infrastructure as code to improve observability. - Led knowledge-sharing initiatives with extensive documentation including C4 and UML diagrams, technical demos and presentations, and tailored a 3D visualization of the company's Kafka topology. - Ensured high-quality, continuous delivery implementing test pyramid, CI/CD pipelines, and monitors, advocating agile practices and business continuity, quickly managing all incidents while on-call.

- Provided services for integrations in an intranet by implementing a manifest-based mechanism for third-party plugins and seamless communication with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace APIs. - Contributed to the development of the modular monolith system, ensuring compliance with package and other rules while supporting the migration to a microservices architecture. - Gained experience in international projects, collaborating with multicultural, cross-functional teams and focusing on Extreme Programming practices, which led to relocation to Europe within months.

- Contributed to modernizing the COBOL-based systems of Brazil's leading bank, architecting and implementing AWS solutions such as serverless functions for Data Lifecycle Management. - Mentored a developer transitioning to the Java ecosystem while collaborating with a diverse team.

- Collaborated on a greenfield microservice to process transactions for the BI of a major payment provider in LATAM, authoring a Gradle plugin for nested-to-flat Avro schema conversion. - Promoted agile practices, led a communication skills group, and presented on OOP design patterns.

- Contributed to rapidly delivering value to 7 outsourcing projects, getting certified as a Professional Scrum Master, and being selected for international training on Agile with the executive team. - Led team releasing project for a major bank elite tournament, assessing application performance with load testing and monitoring workload during the event. - Developed incubated products including a financial module from scratch, implementing EAA patterns in the backend and introducing componentization in the frontend.

- Developed a web platform for a marketplace with an integrated payment provider, with open-source contributions for the used Content Management System.

- Worked on both freelance and research projects at the university, including a one-year-long scientific initiation at the Laboratory of Learning Objects (LOA) linked to the Department of Computer Science. - Developed websites including a web system for workshops performed by the Center for Work Systems Design and Prototyping (nPRO) linked to the Department of Production Engineering. - Developed an API consumed by Android and iOS apps and the website for the university's radio as paid consultancy services to the CATI Jr, the student-led tech consultancy.

- Turned design into code producing email marketing templates and several website templates on top of Content Management Systems such as Joomla, WordPress, and GetSimple. - Solely responsible for the Service Desk to quickly respond to customer needs communicated in daily tickets, involving content management, email marketing campaigns, and graphic design.
