The Wholesale department of Vodafone is taking care of Voice Interconnect, SMS, (i)MVNO, Roaming and network lease. Responsible for Vodafone's (inter)national Voice and SMS agreements with other large operators (a.o. KPN, T-Mobile, Ziggo, UPC, Tele2, BT) and successfully proposed and implemented a direct voice interconnect strategy to reduce cost and improve call performance.

The Amsterdam Internet Exchange (www.ams-ix.net) is the leading internet exchange in the world. The Association is the owner of the exchange, the BV (company) runs the exchange. The 5 members of the Executive Board of AMS-IX manage the activities of the Association and act as the Supervisory board of the BV. I served 4 years as a board member and stepped down after my second and final term. The board meets on a regular basis with the AMS-IX management team to discuss the strategy and everything that might impact the value of AMS-IX for the members. Twice a year, board and members meet each other at a General Meeting to agree on the strategy and to take responsibility for the work done.

As Interconnect Manager I had the responsibility to connect the Ziggo network to the rest of the world. For voice interconnect, IP/Internet transit&peering and content delivery, I managed interconnect agreements with (inter)national carriers, operators and providers and also took care for the lease of external networkcapacity (bandwith & colocation).

@Home was a cable operator owned by energycompany Essent. In 2006 @Home was sold to Cinven and WarburgPincus who merged @Home with Casema and Multikabel into Ziggo. I was responsible for the procurement and trading of 3rd party network services (housing, private lines, voice interconnect, IP transit/peering, etc).
