Developed two generations of mobile robots and continue improving the performance of the robots including motion ability and sensing ability. Develop multiple intelligent robotics systems to build an industrial 4.0 standard automatic system. Main technologies include real-time embedded systems, IoT and traditional control. Working with two teams on developing programs in C, C++ and Python for a mobile robot with a Lidar and a camera on board. Implemented QR code based, path planning, navigation, traffic and motion controller for AGV. Developed collision detection function allowing the robot to avoid the obstacles while moving with lidar. I'm a research assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno focuses on bio-inspired robotics design and control. I designed a customized snake robot and develop a control scheme for its path following. I am also involved in a UAV project, and develop a distributed controlled for UAV swarm formation. Many of my researches have been published in the top international robotics conference, and I won the best-paper final-list award in the IEEE International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics 2019.
