• Grew the automation offering tenfold – into a multimillion-dollar business, by revamping the business and technical foundation and proactively led every project stage, from sales to delivery • Transformed a team of junior coders into a team of professional developers via personalized training • Developed automation robots, saving the client millions with over 40 processes automated • Established the client’s RPA Centre of Excellence (COE), its best practices, coding standards, and tools • Set up the automation orchestration web app, including liaising with system administrators, configuring web and database servers, and writing technical documents

Automation Engineer and Solution Architect • Served as an end-to-end RPA implementer, covering the roles of a solution architect, developer, tester, business analyst, and PMO for some of the most prominent players in Malaysia’s financial industry • Conducted user walkthroughs and translated business requirements into technical specifications Optical Character Recognition (OCR) & AI Engineer • Implemented OCR to automatically digitize documents for one of Asia’s largest insurance groups • Evaluated multiple models and tuned initial parameters to establish a baseline • Skyrocketed the digitization accuracy to 80% by applying a data-centric approach • Developed Python apps such as a language detector with NLP models like Naïve Bayes and N-Gram

• Formulated M&E solutions for high-rise residential buildings at EcoSky • Managed teams of multinationals in implementing drainage, water management, HVAC and fire-fighting systems • Supervised ongoing works and carried out troubleshooting tasks during the pre-delivery inspection rounds • Helped catch up 2 months’ worth of delayed work and brought the project back to its planned schedule • Over the weekends, worked in the sales and marketing team; dealt directly with customers, including explaining the project’s concept, ushering them into the show units and carrying out damage control

• Part of a £2M (≈ RM11M) programme funded by the EPSRC, teamed with the universities of Nottingham and Leeds • Applied CAD expertise and successfully developed electro-adhesive skins used in artificial human muscles • Established the prototype’s manufacturing and fabrication foundation which is now being used in the BRL • Assisted in the mechanical design of the damaged train track detection robot, commissioned by the Network Rail • Logged field test data for the BAE Systems and Atkins collaborated self-driving vehicle project

• Founded the university’s first MS Night; an event that shares the diverse Malaysian and Singaporean culture • Oversaw over 10 departments and 100 members, with a focus on the event’s artistic and creative elements • Co-written the script, scheduled training sessions and coached the acting, dancing and music team • Exceeded sales target by 10% by using an incentivised P2P ticket sale and a social media-centric marketing strategy • Received positive reviews; attracted over 400 audiences and generated a profit of £2.7k (≈ RM15k)

• Founded The Global Dinner and led the only UK team in a challenge to solve world food problems • Collaborated with Purdue University for their research data and socioeconomic impact studies on Kenyan farmers • Invented a low-tech, highly effective storage system suited for the use of farmers in developing countries like Kenya • Shortlisted into the top 10 of 336 teams worldwide and was flown to Portugal to present our pitch at a global summit • Attended an intensive, 10-day pitching and start-up boot camp hosted by Microsoft

• Provided consultations for our client, The Converging World, in building solar-powered charging stations implementable in festivals • Analysed psychometric surveys to study festival goers’ attitude and perception towards a pay-per-use business model • Authored a feasibility and financial report catered towards the client’s needs
