Senior Sourcing Engineer acts as the single point of accountability for assigned capital procurement and indirect category program requirements for local sourcing. This includes all activities associated with the procurement planning and sourcing strategy, sourcing execution, contract management, expediting and materials management of all equipment and materials sourced by the Sourcing Hub. - Service all three BU’s across all four regions focused on the Capital and Indirect Spend portfolios. - Accountable for the Sourcing Hub delivering sustainable, scalable value to Alcoa’s BUs in the short to medium term. - Support developing Alcoa’s own Sourcing Intellectual Property and expertise to potentially enable self-sufficiency in the medium term. - Drives competitive advantage by aligning capital project and indirect category procurement requirements with capital & indirect program and strategy directions. The incumbent needs to work closely with global procurement SPAs, technical engineering, and maintenance/project engineering SPAs at the project level, the portfolio level and the program level. - Works with customers and suppliers across both capital projects and maintenance, across multiple regions and sites, to qualify and identify local suppliers, and supporting the sourcing, contract execution and contract management activities with the local supplier market and ensure assigned procurement package and category sourcing initiative schedules are met and assigned contract compliance and deliverables are achieved. - Understands the demands, needs and requirements of the business and works to develop suppliers in the Asia market that can deliver capital and indirect program, portfolio and project requirements. To take a leading role within critical contracts and the corresponding management structures. - Maintain and respond to issues and concerns within assigned initiatives and contracts.

Supplier development lead is to drive vendor and solution sourcing strategy with internal stakeholders (engineering, operation, category team, plants manager, finance, logistic, etc.) as well as sourcing activities and internal stakeholder alignment for programs. 1 Work with category teams to develop and drive sourcing strategy. 2 Sourcing activities (whole process: demand analysis, stakeholders mapping, market research, strategy alignment, vendor list, short list, proposal analysis, qualification, process coordination) 3 Drive supply chain improvement opportunity mapping with engineering team and local vendor 4 Supplier performance report and performance improvement plan as well as supplier rating (strategy, critical, bottleneck, stable supply) Achievement: Opportunity (5 MM saving) mapped for new solution/technology of maglev equipment replacing traditional equipment.
