Orchestrating all refuelling operations, managing staff, their competencies and qualifications as well as working alongside maintenance contractors and 3rd party associate’s to ensure the safe and proper running of an infrastructure containing in excess of 15 million litres of aviation fuel whilst remaining compliant and adherent to H&S and aviation policies. Key Responsibilities * Directing all refuelling operations to support the RAFs Transporter Fleet, from safe storage, quality management and forward issue. * Set KPIs and manages performance for fuel operators and junior managers. * Develops Organisational Structures which provide suitably qualified personnel to meet operational needs. * Maintain the highest level of safety and compliance with aviation policies on site containing 15 million litres of aviation fuel through the close supervision of maintenance contractors and 3rd party agencies. * Run an efficient 24/7-365 shift rota and forecasting resource requirements to optimise service levels. * Audit Supply Chain processes and operations reviewing documentation to ensure it is fully and accurately completed and authorised, in line with legislation and MOD policy. * Overseeing and authorising fuel testing ensuring the customer receives the correct grade of fuel. * Manage pre-planned maintenance schedules conducted by industry partners and engineering contractors, prioritising work to minimise cost in line with budgets.
