As a Lead Applications Engineer at Bidell my focus was to create pricing and quotation for our sales team. With my previous experience, my attention was towards retrofits, rentals, and surplus sourcing.

The Retrofit department is an exciting and growing part of Bidell Gas Compression business in the Oil and Gas marketplace. Similar to my role as a "New Equipment" Project Manager, there is a new layer of tasks and responsibilities that now apply to my daily roles. These new and interesting challenges include coordinating field crews, developing quotes, multi-project record keeping to meet year end goals, and other business process management areas of our business. This department is helping me evolve into a stronger individual my field of work.

- Design and preform sizing calculations for process piping, pressure vessels and equipment - Generate instrument BOMs for process and utilities systems - Familiar with Ariel performance program for compressors - Interfacing and managing end users and EPC expectations on projects - Creating and calculating change orders on projects along with managing invoice authorization - Monitoring, assessing and reporting project progress by creating and managing project schedule and deliverables - Proactively supporting and procuring of assigned equipment, material and services providing answers to customer and shop queries - Preforming hands on inspection during projects execution to ensure compliance with design and project schedule - Manage cost and hours to hit specified margins and project/customer goals - Create and develop customer standard packages and post manufacturing support - Aiding in development and refining Bidell’s Nomad units - Revisiting and revising Bidell’s project log procedure for unit executions.

- Train new employees on design, processes and fabrication methodology - Developed processes/procedures to manage data archiving, revision management, drawing control, drawing registration control and drawing hierarchy management. - Developed a very strong knowledge for programs such as Solidworks designs and COMPRESS pressure vessel calculations. - Developed a clear understanding of P&IDs’ and drawing practices - Developed a clear understanding of vessel calculations and vessel design. Section 8 Div.1 and ASME piping codes. - Developed a good understanding of structural members in oil and gas equipment. - Registration of piping systems and vessels Canada wide. - Procured materials for projects such as flanges, fittings, fasteners, structural members, cut plate, instrumentation & valves. - Modeling projects to customer needs and specifications. - Cost analysis and developing quotes for customers and internal projects. - Quality assurance and quality control on most projects from concept to completion.
