Matthew Chan

I am currently an International Business and Global Management student at The University of Hong Kong. I am passionate about how data, technology, and behavioral insight can drive better decisions, both in business and in social impact. I am currently an intern at The Foundation for Shared Impact (FSI), where I support youth empowerment and social impact initiatives by assisting with program design and implementation to strengthen experiential learning outcomes. At the same time, I am working as a Research Assistant at the University of Leeds on a problem solving correlation study. I conducted comprehensive literature reviews, completed more than 10 experimental design related laboratory modules, ran over 20 structured interviews for qualitative data collection, and improved laboratory documentation processes by 25%. Beyond academics, I led my school's Debate Team for five years, organizing weekly sessions and training teammates to construct structured, data driven arguments. This experience strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. I am driven by opportunities that combine analytical depth, strategic thinking, and meaningful impact, whether in finance, technology, or social innovation.
