University of Washington Investment Management Company (UWINCO) * Sourcing, reviewing, and monitoring investment managers across all asset classes for a $5 billion endowment * Identify and screen potential investment opportunities appropriate for the University's objectives and portfolio * Conduct intensive due diligence on potential new investment managers to determine return potential and investigate risks, including: evaluate strategy through modeling, sector research, and reference calls; review team to examine capabilities and potential flaws; assess investment manager's credibility and integrity * Review legal documents for prospective investments * Write investment recommendations for use of University Investment Staff and Investment Committee * Monitor existing investment managers by reviewing reports, audited financial statements, and letters from the manager, following events both specific to the manager and general to the investment strategy, and networking with other investors * Organize and lead meetings with prospective and existing investment managers
