Waleed Faisal

Dr Waleed Faisal is co-founder and CEO of ArrayPatch Ltd., an Irish biotech company developing next-generation microneedle drug delivery technologies. Under his leadership, ArrayPatch has secured multiple patents, generated commercial traction, raised significant seed funding, and won national recognition, including being named Best Start-Up Company in Ireland 2025. Dr Faisal is a formulation scientist by training having earned a PhD Pharmaceuticals at UCC, With more than 20 years of industrial, academic and commercial expertise, and was recognized among Ireland’s top 100 healthcare achievers in 2022. At ArrayPatch Ltd., our mission is to empower healthcare professionals with a superior treatment option, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes. At the core of our mission is the innovative patent microneedle technology, DerMap. Currently, our focus lies in revolutionizing the treatment of nail fungal infections, serving as our initial pathway to market. Our expansive vision includes addressing conditions such as skin cancer, Diabetes, and migraine.I served as the project and commercial leader for Two Enterprise commercialization funds and one European co-fund. I have taken on the responsibility of securing a budget exceeding €3.5M to drive our ambitious initiatives forward. My pivotal role in crafting a comprehensive commercialization strategy for our research outcomes, including the development of a robust business plan and investor materials, has been instrumental in the successful spinout of ArrayPatch Ltd.With over 16 years of experience in designing and executing multidisciplinary research projects within the field of Pharmaceutics, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table. My international experience includes leading and supervising researchers, as well as collaborating with academic and industrial partners. I am passionate about driving innovation and making a lasting impact in the field of healthcare.
