Wade has extensive experience in industry, government, and academia, and has applied his expertise across various industrial segments and sectors. He began his career with a passion for technology, starting with software development, hardware systems programming, and systems integration, before transitioning into sales, sales management, and business development roles for IT firms in North America. He has managed a network of sales teams and reseller networks spanning Western North America and has supported local Alberta-based ICT companies within the Provincial Ministry of Alberta Enterprise and Advanced Education through policy, programs, and international connections to new markets. During this time, managed government and corporate relationships with trade-based entities in Hong Kong, Singapore, California, and Japan. During his tenure with the Government of Alberta, he supported the development of several entrepreneurship development initiatives in collaboration with the University of Alberta, NAIT, the Alberta College of Art, and Mobile Monday Edmonton. With an interest in the intersection of government, industry, and education, he was the lead agent in developing the NAIT Centre for Innovative Media, an Applied Research entity conceived and established in the earliest days of the Industry Solutions platform at NAIT. Wade recently completed his MBA and continues to further efforts to support technology adoption through strategy development and execution for several organizations, including community-focused enterprises and for-profit corporations.
