Automation, integration, system testing and debugging of Modem Peripheral Sub-System (MPSS) software for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoCs. o Modem Test Framework (MTF) Development – MTF is a comprehensive tool for automating modem software testing across MDM, MSM and IoE chipsets. MTF was developed using Perl and Win32 OLE automation utilizing Qualcomm tools like QPST, QXDM, QSPR, ADAQ and Asia components like APS, QMIMP etc. As part of this, I was responsible for the automation of Stability testing, Power Consumption testing, Device RF calibration testing etc. o General Automation Plugin (GAP) – GAP is a component that extends MTF functionality primarily for automating network side elements using TBS (Test Base Station). Here, automating testing using LTE TBS was my primary focus. Also contributed towards BOA (UMTS), Panda (RF elements), and IWF automation. Currently working on PRT (5G). o Yoda Post-Processing – Yoda is a collection of tools meant to profile the logging from the Modem image. One of the main goals is to detect spikes in Modem logs, wherein we are trying to flag any excessive logging from one sub-system/functionality in a span of 1 ms. It also provides other statistics on logging. Used Python, MySQL, PHP for development. o CTA (Comprehensive Test Application) – CTA is an application meant to automate testing from the application processor, which runs either Android or LE (Embedded Linux) as the HLOS. The embedded application was implemented as an Android app, with a Perl interface that exposes the embedded functionality. I was involved in debugging failures, providing bug fixes and developing new features. o MPSS Integration and Testing – Involved integration, testing and debugging of Modem processor software primarily for radio access functionality. This entailed using QXDM/QPST tools for log analysis, Agilent/Aeroflex call boxes and OTA networks for testing and Lauterbach Trace32 for stability/crashes.

Development of system software and tools for EchoStar’s (Dish TV) set-top boxes using ‘C’, Perl and network programming.

Involved in development, maintenance and testing of call-data record processing system for Orange Telecom using C, C++, Java, Perl/Shell scripting and SQL.
