Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Institute of Process and Environmental Engineering 18th June 2014 Final state examination Characteristics of the branch: Process system engineering is a field based on wide scope of knowledge applicable in various types of industry and thus providing the graduates with extraordinary potential at the job market, especially in process industry, power industry and consumption industry functioning in industrial, commercial and/or municipal sphere. This flexibility may be assigned to the fact that process in general represents link between inputs (e.g. material, energy) and outputs (e.g. product, energy, system, processed waste). Analogical features of individual processes such as food industry production, biotechnology, pharmaceutical production, waste water treatment, thermal treatment of waste and biomass with energy utilization are employed.
