● Serves as chief operating officer for the Office of Undergraduate Admission and oversees day-to-day operations of the unit, including: Evaluations and Operations, Admissions Systems, Welcome Center and admissions events. ● Leads strategic planning initiatives and develops student outreach, recruitment, admissions programs, and evaluating program performance and recruitment effectiveness. ● Oversees staff training, evaluation, and development; and shares fiscal oversight of a $5M budget, monitoring expenditures for efficiency and alignment with strategic priorities. ● Collaborate with student affairs, deans, faculty, enrollment marketing, financial aid, registrar, other campus stakeholders, and UC systemwide groups.

● Provide leadership for the office of undergraduate admission – hire, train, and supervise assistant directors and regional senior assistant directors; build upon the strengths of individuals, develop strategies to overcome deficiencies, set clear expectations, and provide professional development. ● Create and implement best-practice admission recruitment strategies that align with meeting the University’s priorities and enrollment goals. ● Build an effective and data-driven territory management, which resulted in 10% increase in applications for Fall 2025 and expanded recruitment footprint in 14 states and over 650 school visits and college fairs. ● Lead the development and implementation of new admissions policies and holistic admission evaluation process and serve on the admission committee and manage waitlist process for selective programs. ● Train application readers, set expectations, ensure reading consistency, distribute appropriate workload across the office, and improve Slate reader experience. ● Organize and manage large-scale yield events and anti-melt strategy. ● Work with Enrollment Operations team to create operational efficiencies and on-going improvements in Slate systems solutions. ● Work with Marketing and Communications team to craft communication plans, recruitment materials, student testimonies, and outreach strategies. ● Work collaboratively with financial aid, housing, deans, faculty, and student life in recruiting, outreach, and yielding prospective students.

● Increased applications by 8.5% (including First-Year, Transfer, and International enrollment). ● Maintained First-Year application completion rate above 95%. ● Increased Yield rate from 16% to 21% in one year (highest yield record was 36% for a term). ● Worked with the VP of Admission to maximize new student enrollment results, utilized CRM to track inquiry conversion metrics, generated lists and reports for data analysis. ● Conducted weekly team meetings and new student reviews. ● Interviewed, hired & mentored new admission team members. ● Responsible for building key partnerships with on-campus and external organizations and partners.

● Contributed to a 6% increase in First-Year and Transfer enrollment helping stabilize revenue from several years of decline. ● Maintained and managed California and several out-of-state recruitment territories. Responsible for reviewing applications from these territories. ● Coached junior admission counselors and recruited prospective students through the admissions process and selecting a program that best fits the student’s needs and aspirations.
