After years of Engineering PhD research and academic entrepreneurship activities, I found myself stuck with the first COVID-19 lockdown. So, I started looking around to see how my skill can be used in solving problems related to that critical period. This allowed me to delve inside Laboratory Medicine issues, so I asked myself: “How come hospitals and medical centers have such sophisticated devices to perform our analyses, and still have most of the errors coming from sample collection phase?”. The answer to this question led me to start ROBOSAN (www.robosan.it).
